A Belated Happy Birthday Post for Steve...

I blew it!!!

I just realized this morning that in the chaos of being so sick over Christmas, and all the other crises that were going on that day, I forgot to post a birthday greeting to Steve! I did talk to him on the phone and wish him a happy birthday, but totally didn't post it for him, so I am so sorry Steve, and watch for a belated birthday post to come later today!!

In Memory Of...

"Grandma Jane" as she was affectionately known to her great grandchildren, passed away this morning, Jan. 6, 2009, approx. 1am. She was a great example to her children, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as she spent the last year of her life battling leukemia with grace, dignity and a positive attitude, continuing to care for and about others just as she had her entire life. She is loved and will be missed greatly by her family and friends, but though it is difficult to say good-bye, we are happy her valiant struggle has come to an end and she is once again reunited with her husband, our father, grandfather and great grandfather, "Poppa". Thank you Grandma and Poppa for all you have taught us and done for us, we love you!

I lost two of Ed's Christmas presents before Christmas and have spent the last week tearing the house apart trying to find them. I even thought maybe Allison and Bryan had hidden them to play a trick on us, (sorry guys!) but they were innocent. Ed and I have searched everywhere we could possibly think of and a few other places as well, but couldn't find them. Tonight I went to put away a basket of shoes that was in our bedroom, and when I picked it up found a bag under the shoes, opened it up and there were the games!!! I have no idea how they got there, call it a week long senior moment!!!
