Casey's final act

The humane society just came and picked up the 30 lb bag of dog food I just bought last week.  It was opened and couldn't be returned, so it was donated to some dogs who don't quite have the life that Casey did.  This lady had a huge Siberian Huskie with medical problems in her back seat, she is his foster mom, and two crates full of little puppies in the back of her suv, taking them to their new foster homes.  Cute, but no thanks, don't get any ideas!!!

To let you all know, Casey had a fall down the stairs on Friday afternoon. After a night of her being in severe distress, I got her to the vet yesterday am. Their examination discovered a large malignant mass in her liver that apparently started leaking fluid internally from the fall. She was kept overnight on iv's and pain meds, her condition was going to be re-evaluated this morning by the dr. and me in the office, and Steve on the phone. However, she passed away last night in her sleep. The dr. checked on her at 10:30 pm and she was finally resting comfortably after a very bad day and a half. When she came back in at 6:30 this morning to check again, she was gone.
